The idea for menumiz™ was conceived in 2018 by Arash Aalaei, the CEO and founder. At the time, Arash was involved in FinTech and recognized an opportunity in micro-payments within the food and beverage (F&B) sector. The initial version of menumiz™ was launched in Malaysia in January 2020 but was quickly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This unforeseen event put the F&B industry on hold, and as a result, menumiz™ entered a period of hibernation. We later resumed the project, focusing on creating a new, simpler version of menumiz™ with a more solid design and advanced technology. This version was successfully launched in Malaysia in the third quarter of 2023 and then in Australia in the first quarter of 2024.

The government of South Australia has recognized menumiz™ as a promising startup tech company, with Stone & Chalk serving as the appointed incubator.

menumiz™ plans to expand its operations to the UAE, Canada, and the US by the end of 2029.
